Monday am

I have not written in a long time. Almost decided to delete my blog, but decided against it. Anyway, i like to read them and catch up on how everyone is doing. So, I will try to write better. I can't believe it is January, near the end of that month. Time goes by so fast. My grandkids were here this weekend and Jaidyn is about to be 6, Timothy is walking and about to be 1. Joe's son got married in December and they are expecting a baby. Our family is growing and Joe and I are becoming grandparents to several. I love it!!!!!
Allergies have been bad and I seem to wake up evey morning to a fresh batch. But, I try to look on the bright side... I woke up. Hope everyone has a great week.

Thoughts.....

I am thankful that one day I will have a heavenly body. I am thankful that I will be able to leave this sinful body behind. I am thankful Christ provided a way for me to have hope, through him and only him. In a world of hopelesslness, I can claim John 3:16. In day to day life, when everything seems to go wrong or seems to be a struggle, I can remember "For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." There is my hope!!! There is my victory!!!

tiring day

yesterday was very tiring. i helped at a wedding. a teacher at school had his daughter's wedding yesterday and needed help. of course it was a big wedding and took 3 hours to set up the table and chairs (300 people) I went home to rest and went back at 5 until 10. Setting out food, clearing tables and washing dishes. My back was killing me when i got home. I thought i might not be able to walk today. but, i was. The wedding was beautiful and worth the work. i just would not want to do it every weekend. i found out that caterers really have a hard job.
If my spelling and spacing is strange, it is because i spilled syrup on my keyboard. i need to go to wal mart and get another one. oh well. the weather is forecasted to be cool. i am looking forward to that.

good weekend

We had a great weekend. We went to the Brownwood Reunion and enjoyed the nice weather outside. Jaidyn came to visit us for the weekend and we took her to the carnival. She had more fun than she could stand. Joe's daughter, JoAnna, also came and it was great to just play this weekend and not worry about "to do lists". However, I am exhausted. Now it is time to go back to work tomorrow. I am so glad tomorrow it the first day of fall. I hope we have an actual "fall" this year.

funny week

Sometimes kids say the funniest things. In class on Thursday, I asked if anyone had been watching the weather channel and following the hurricane. Some raised their hands and made some comments. One of my boys (who is GT) stated that he had not been able to watch the weather because he had been watching the Republican convention. I commented that I found that interesting and asked him if he was Republican. He nodded yes. Then, my little Rebecca in the front row, (who had been listening so intently to every word,) raised her hand. I said "yes, Rebecca, did you have something to add?" With her big brown eyes shining at me, she said "Well, Mrs. Medley, I am part Indian."

Short Week

It has been a short week and I am already looking forward to the weekend. We have had pre-testing this week and that is boring to me. (however, it is helpful). I am planning to rest this weekend and get some things done around the house and yard. I don't know about anyone else, but I am ready for fall weather. I am ready to be able to wear a sweater!!
